F-14 Tomcats have served as the backbone of the US Navy’s fighter fleet for a quarter century, with the most recently updated F-14D Super Tomcat capable of air superiority as well as ground support roles. This is a Tomcat from VF-213 "Black Lions" off the USS Carl Vinson in 2002.
