A pair of F-16c Fighting Falcons fly into the sunset in support of the free world. The F-16 was developed as a cheaper yet efficient tactical fighter to support the F-15 Eagle in the Air Force inventory, but turned out to be a stellar fighter and unmatched ground attack aircraft as well. Thousands of Falcons serve dozens of countries as their first line aerial platform.
The depicted F-16s are of the 86 TFW, 512 TFS based at Ramstein AFB, Germany in the early 1990s.
(Note that this print is based upon a painting on illustration board, which has looser details than some of my other digitally-created prints.)
