A pair of F-86D Sabre Dogs from the 97th Fighter Interceptor Squadron of the Air Defense Command form up over the desert Southwest, circa 1954. The F-86D was the first All-weather interceptor aircraft in the U.S. inventory and served that role through the end of the decade. This aircraft, "Dennis the Menace", was flown by Lt. Fabre and featured distinctive nose art.
